A fusuma is a traditional Japanese sliding door made of wood and paper. Thanks to a wood-joining technique called "kumiko" and the "ukashibari" method to attach washi paper, a fusuma has excellent qualities as a movable partition that is unmatched anywhere in the world.
Since the invention of the fusuma over 1,000 years ago, it has held a quiet place in Japanese society to this day. We are confident that its superb design and artistic value will earn it even more admirers all over the world.
